East Granby, Connecticut celebrates its 150 birthday as a town in 2008. The dates of June 6, 7 and 8 have been designated as celebration weekend and will include the following festivities:

Merchants and local business organizations purchased the giant fiberglass turkeys as a fund raiser through the East Granby 150th Anniversary Committee. Area artists have been commissioned to paint them in a wide variety of themes.

The Women's Club of East Granby is selling Cat's Meow (www.catsmeow.com) replicas of Old New-Gate Prison, Town Hall and one of the barns at East Granby Farms as a fundraiser for the celebration. They are $15 each and can be purchased from the web site.
