Town Resources

East Granby is a small town with many historic sites that has become a vital community located midway between Hartford and Springfield, MA and situated in the lovely Farmington, Pioneer, and Heritage Valleys of Connecticut. You'll find wild turkeys, deer, and even an occasional bear in the rolling hills near the Old New-Gate Prison, once a copper mine and now a National Historic Landmark.

Recent improvements are a new library, upgraded high school, new recreation areas, and East Granby is now turning its old Canal Railroad tracks into a major part of the Farmington Valley Greenway which will allow a safe walking and biking trail between the Mass border at Southwick, MA and Farmington, CT.
